Old School Blogging, March

My fun friend Elaine is bringing back old school blogging memes. With Blissdom coming up I figured I would join in, as it is a quick and easy way to share a little about myself. She and Heather at Theta Mom even made a carnival and button for the fun!

What were you doing 10 years ago?

I was pregnant with my third child (my oldest was approximately 18 months and second child 6 months old) and preparing to move into our first (and so far only) home. I worked full time as a degree advisor in The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!) I loved my job, but would become a stay-home mom in September of 2003, as having kids ages 2, 1, and newborn precluded having a job. Travis and I were also volunteering with the youth program at our church.

What are 5 things on your to-do list?

1. Shower. (Still in stinky gym clothes)
2. Clean. (Well, it should be on the list)
3. Paint my nails.
4. Read.
5. Feed my kids. (They insist on eating)

What are 5 snacks you enjoy?

1. Chocolate.
2. Pistachios.
3. Sharp cheddar cheese.
4. French fries (I don't eat them nearly as often as I would like)
5. Chips and salsa (Known as a meal in my college days)

Name some things you would do if you were a millionaire.

I'm going to assume multi-millionaire. Buy our dream house on land that met both husband's desire for space and my desire to still be near convenience. Give as much as I could to our church building fund. Give a lot to a few favorite charities. Share with my family. College for my kids. And then some shopping.

Name some places you have lived.

Longview, TX and Denton, TX. That's it.

Name some bad habits you have/had.

1. I used to bite my nails.
2. Master procrastinator.
3. Overcommitting.

Name some jobs you have had.

Little League concession stand (all the Frito-Pie I wanted!)
Hostess in a local restaurant
Tutor
Student Secretary
Degree Advisor
Tutor for student athletes
Social media servies

So fun! Visit Elaine for more blogs participating in the Old School Blogging fun.

  3. I would have to ask - do you put the cheddar cheese on the fries? That would be more of a guilty pleasure for me than a snack food. Fun to read!

  4. Social media services? Are you doing that now?!

  5. Yeah, it's kind of a good thing that there aren't TOO many places around here to get good chips and salsa! ha! And I cannot believe I did not list chocolate under snacks. WHAT is wrong with me!?!?!

    Thanks for playing along!!

  11. Oh my goodness, frito pie. Seriously, the best thing ever. That and stadium nachos. I love them so much. SO BAD.

Wow, you were busy 10 years ago! Because you're not anymore, right. Ha!

  12. Oh the irony! An over committed procrastinator! We might be sisters? And those kids that insist on eating? I got a laugh on that one. Great lists! Stopped by from #OSBlog. :)
